How do you dispose of our waste?
The majority of lab chemicals are incinerated, producing renewable energy, however, some of them are recovered for re-use.
Can we mix all the chemicals together in one container?
No – There are chemicals that can react with others, so if an oxidiser and flammable is mixed for example, this could cause catastrophic reactions if the containers get damaged. Some chemicals can react to others, producing toxic gases so all chemicals need to be segregated and packed correctly in line with legislation.
Can you assist in packing?
Yes, our qualified chemists can come to site and segregate / pack safely in line with current legislation.
What if we don’t know the chemicals? They are unlabelled?
Don’t worry, our qualified chemists can attend site, sample and return to the lab for analysis pre-collection.
Can you provide suitable containers for our waste streams?
