What is Hazardous Waste?

Hazardous Waste Materials are present in almost all work places. Items such as: fridges, batteries, print toner, aerosols and cleaning chemicals are amongst the most common examples of items classified as hazardous, together with more obvious examples such as: solvents, adhesives, paints, oils, oily rags and industrial chemicals – even empty containers of such are considered a hazard!
